About Dr. Z

Dr. Mark R. Zuccolo, PhD, LMFT — licensed psychotherapist, counselor, behavioral coach and consultant in private practice at Bellagio Psychotherapeutics, Alpharetta, and online via telehealth.

How I work

In my clinical practice I prefer to work from a cognitive behavioral approach. The goal of my therapeutic work is to help individuals and families identify and change the causes of dysfunctional thinking and behavior — in order to make more balanced and realistic appraisals of themselves, their world and their future, enjoy more satisfying relationships, and improve their communication and problem-solving skills.

Solution Focused Brief Therapy

Much of the work is brief by design. Solution Focused Brief Therapy starts from what is already working and builds on it, rather than excavating everything that went wrong. For trauma, I use EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy, particularly with veterans, law enforcement, and childhood/adulthood trauma survivors.

Who I see

Individual adults, family members, and young adults. I also consult on neurodivergence and the autism spectrum, and advise family- and Christian-owned small businesses and non-profits on succession and organizational questions.
